The OnePlus Nord 3 5G isn’t just another mid-range phone; it’s a statement. This device masterfully blends premium features with an affordable price, making it an enticing option for those seeking flagship-level experiences without breaking the bank.

Design & Build: OnePlus has nailed it with the Nord 3’s design. The glass back feels luxurious, and the aluminum frame adds a touch of sturdiness. It’s surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to hold, even during extended gaming sessions. The flat edges provide a secure grip, and the camera module, while protruding slightly, adds a touch of personality.

Display: The 6.74-inch AMOLED display is a stunner. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and swiping incredibly smooth. Whether you’re binge-watching your favorite shows or scrolling through social media, the Nord 3’s display is a visual treat.

Performance: Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM, ensures buttery-smooth performance. Everyday tasks are a breeze, multitasking is effortless, and demanding games like Genshin Impact run smoothly at high settings. In my experience, the Nord 3 handles everything you throw at it with aplomb.

Camera: The triple camera setup, headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor, is impressive. Daylight photos are sharp, detailed, and bursting with color. Low-light performance, thanks to the large sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS), is also excellent. The 8MP ultrawide lens adds versatility, and the 2MP macro lens is a fun addition for close-up shots.

Battery Life: The 5000mAh battery is a powerhouse. With moderate usage, you can easily get through a full day without needing to recharge. The 80W SuperVOOC fast charging is blazingly fast, taking you from 0% to 100% in just about 30 minutes.

Software & User Experience: OxygenOS 13, based on Android 13, is clean, intuitive, and a joy to use. It’s packed with useful features without feeling bloated. The overall software experience is smooth, responsive, and free of annoying bugs or glitches.

Connectivity & Additional Features: The Nord 3 covers all the bases with 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner that’s fast and reliable, and the stereo speakers deliver loud and clear audio. Unfortunately, there’s no headphone jack or expandable storage.

Buying Recommendation:

  • Who’s it for? Anyone looking for a premium smartphone experience on a budget. Gamers, photographers, and multitaskers will especially appreciate its powerful performance and versatile camera system.
  • Pros: Stunning display, flagship-level performance, excellent camera system, long-lasting battery, fast charging.
  • Cons: No headphone jack, no expandable storage, camera module protrudes slightly.
  • Overall: The OnePlus Nord 3 5G is a remarkable phone that punches well above its weight class. It offers a compelling blend of performance, features, and value that’s hard to beat. If you’re in the market for a new phone, the Nord 3 should definitely be on your radar.
