The OnePlus 12 is a flagship smartphone that truly lives up to its name. It packs a punch in every department, from its powerful performance to its stunning camera system, making it a worthy competitor to other high-end devices.

Design & Build:

The OnePlus 12’s design is a refined evolution of its predecessor. The glass back, available in a matte or glossy finish, exudes elegance. The circular camera module, housing three lenses and a Hasselblad logo, is a visual highlight. The phone feels substantial in hand, with its curved edges providing a comfortable grip. The alert slider, a signature OnePlus feature, adds a touch of convenience.

Display:

The 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display is a visual masterpiece. Colors are incredibly vibrant, blacks are deep, and the 120Hz adaptive refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and responsive gaming. The display gets exceptionally bright, making it easy to see even under direct sunlight. Whether you’re watching videos or editing photos, the OnePlus 12’s display is a treat for the eyes.

Performance:

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and up to 16GB of RAM, the OnePlus 12 is a performance beast. It effortlessly handles any task you throw at it, from multitasking to gaming. Apps launch quickly, and there’s no lag or stutter even when switching between demanding applications. In benchmark tests, the OnePlus 12 scores consistently high, proving its prowess.

Camera:

The triple rear camera system, co-developed with Hasselblad, is one of the phone’s strongest points. The 50MP primary sensor captures incredibly detailed images with excellent dynamic range. The 50MP ultrawide lens offers a wide field of view and performs admirably in various lighting conditions. The 32MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom is perfect for capturing distant subjects. The 32MP front-facing camera takes sharp and detailed selfies.

Battery Life:

The 5000mAh battery easily lasts a full day with moderate to heavy usage. With lighter use, you might even get close to two days. The 100W SuperVOOC fast charging is incredibly fast, taking the phone from 0% to 100% in under 30 minutes.

Software & User Experience:

OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14, provides a smooth and intuitive user experience. It’s clean, bloatware-free, and packed with useful features. OnePlus is committed to providing regular software updates, ensuring that the OnePlus 12 remains up-to-date for years to come.

Connectivity & Additional Features:

The OnePlus 12 offers the latest connectivity options, including 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. It also features an in-display fingerprint scanner that’s fast and reliable. The stereo speakers, tuned by Dolby Atmos, deliver excellent sound quality, making media consumption a joy.

Buying Recommendation:

  • Who’s it for? Power users, gamers, photographers, and anyone who demands the best performance and camera quality from their smartphone.
  • Pros: Stunning display, top-tier performance, excellent camera system, long-lasting battery, blazing-fast charging, premium design.
  • Cons: No expandable storage, no headphone jack, can get warm under heavy use.
  • Overall: The OnePlus 12 is a true flagship smartphone that delivers exceptional performance, a stunning camera system, and a premium user experience. It’s a worthy investment for anyone seeking the best that Android has to offer.
