Design & Build: The Nothing Phone 2 is an eye-catcher. Its transparent back, showing off the Glyph Interface, is a conversation starter. The phone feels solid in hand, thanks to the aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass protection. While it’s not the slimmest phone, it’s comfortable to hold.

Display: The 6.7-inch AMOLED display is bright and vibrant, with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Colors pop, and HDR content looks fantastic. It’s easily readable in sunlight, making it great for outdoor use.

Performance: This is where the Nothing Phone 2 stumbles. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor is capable, but it doesn’t match the performance of the latest flagships. Demanding games can stutter, and the phone gets noticeably warm under heavy load.

Camera: The dual 50MP rear cameras deliver solid results in good lighting. Photos are sharp, with decent dynamic range and accurate colors. The ultrawide lens is surprisingly good. Low-light performance is average, but the dedicated night mode helps.

Battery Life: The 4700mAh battery lasts a full day with moderate use. However, heavy users might need to top up by evening. The 45W wired charging is fast, but there’s no wireless charging.

Software & User Experience: Nothing OS 2.0, based on Android 13, is clean and bloat-free. The Glyph Interface is fun and customizable, adding a unique touch to notifications and calls. However, some users may find it gimmicky.

Connectivity & Additional Features: The phone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. It lacks a headphone jack and expandable storage, which might be a dealbreaker for some.

Buying Recommendation:

Who’s it for? The Nothing Phone 2 is for those who prioritize unique design and a fun software experience. It’s not the best choice for power users or those seeking the absolute best camera performance.

Pros:

  • Unique Glyph Interface
  • Solid build quality
  • Good camera performance in daylight

Cons:

  • Performance lags behind competitors
  • Average battery life
  • No wireless charging

Overall: The Nothing Phone 2 is a stylish and interesting phone with some unique features. However, its performance and battery life don’t quite match the premium price. If you’re looking for a phone that stands out from the crowd, it’s worth considering. But if performance is a top priority, there are better options available.
